Barcelona clinch fourth consecutive title as Levante a point away from top three finish: Liga F Week 27 Round Up
Defending champions Barcelona wrapped up the league title after thrashing visiting Sporting Huelva 3-0 at the Estadi Johan Cruyff on Sunday afternoon.
Defenders came to the party for the hosts when Laia Codina and Jana Fernández scored in the 39th and 63rd minutes respectively to put their side on the driving seat. Codina opened the scoring when she converted a pass from midfielder Clàudia Pina and Fernández doubled the lead 18 minutes into the second half after she was set up by midfielder Ingrid Syrstad Engen.
Substitute forward Asisat Oshoala made it 3-0 in the 89th minute after she was set up by Fernández to wrap up the match with her 20th goal of the season.
Captain and midfielder Alexia Putellas made her long awaited return into league action in the 74th minute replacing Pina. Putellas suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury in May 2022.
The win ensured that the hosts retained their title with three rounds of matches left though they played a game less whilst Huelva remained a point above the relegation zone on 20 points.

Meanwhile, second-placed Real Madrid came from behind twice to beat visiting Madrid CFF 3-2 in a local derby at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano on Sunday evening.
The visitors took a first minute lead through forward Florencia Bonsegundo before Colombian forward Linda Caicedo levelled the scores in the eighth minute after being set up by midfielder Caroline Weir, who took her assists tally to 11.
The visitors regained their lead four minutes later through their top goalscorer Racheal Kundananji after she converted a pass from Bonsegundo to take her goal tally for the season to 19.
Midfielder Teresa Abelleira equalised for the hosts in the 17th minute when she was set up by Caicedo.
The visitors suffered a setback in the 27th minute when Bonsegundo was taken off through injury and was replaced by forward Gabi Nunes.
The hosts made a half-time change bringing on defender Olga Carmona for defender Kenti Robles to deal with the speed of the visitors’ forwards.
Abelleira scored her second goal of the match to give the hosts the lead in the 49th minute after she converted a pass from forward Caroline Møller.
It was a blown opportunity for Madrid CFF who could have closed the gap between them and fourth-placed Atlético Madrid to three points but now find themselves six points behind with three matches left to play.

A late goal by Liga F top goal scorer Alba Redondo eased pressure on third-placed Levante who edged hosts UDG Tenerife 1-0 at the Estadio La Palmera on Saturday afternoon.
Redondo converted a pass from midfielder Nataša Andonova in the 85th minute.
The hosts were reduced to 10 players on the stroke of full-time when midfielder Natalia Ramos received her second yellow card.
The win put the visitors on 62 points needing just a draw in their last three matches to secure a top three finish whilst the hosts remained on 36 points after suffering their second defeat in a row.

Fourth-placed Atlético Madrid suffered a setback in their quest for a top three finish when they were held to a frustrating one-all draw by hosts Real Betis at the Ciudad Deportiva Luis de Sol on Sunday afternoon.
The visitors took a 26th minute lead through their number 26 forward Lucía Moral Ruiz after she was set up by forward Eva Navarro.
The hosts made a half-time substitution when they introduced forward Carmen Álvarez for midfielder Laura Moreno Moreno to add more firepower upfront.

Valencia came from behind to snatch a 2-1 victory over visiting Alavés at the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna on Saturday afternoon.
