Giacinti strikes twice in Roma riot as Juventus maintain 100% start: Serie A Femminile Week 5 Round-Up

Reigning champions AS Roma made it five wins in five matches with a 5-0 demolition of Sampdoria away on Sunday evening.
Defender Elena Linari opened the scoring for the visitors with a strike in the second minute of first half extra-time with an assist from midfielder Giada Greggi and the teams would retreat for the break.
Former Gotham FC forward Evelyne Viens made it 2-0 with a strike on 59 minutes with an assist from fellow forward Valentina Giacinti before the latter registered her own name on the scoresheet just three minutes later to make it 3-0.
Giacinti returned to complete her brace with a strike just four minutes later for 4-0 as Viens turned assist maker. Linari also returned to complete her brace from the penalty spot one minute into second half added-time as Le Giallorosse secured a crucial three points.
The win saw Roma retain first place on the Serie A standings on 15 points from five wins in five outings whilst seventh place Sampdoria slumped to their fourth defeat of the term and are on three points.

Meanwhile, former champions Juventus also maintained their 100% start to the season with a 2-1 win over Fiorentina away on Sunday afternoon.
Former Bayern Munich forward Lineth Beerensteyn opened the scoring for the Bianconere with a strike on 34 minutes off a Cristiana Girelli assist and the teams would retreat for half-time.
The goal saw the Netherlands international shoot to the top of the Serie A goal charts with five goals in five matches.
Forward Michela Catena levelled the scores for Fiorentina with a strike on 67 minutes, assisted by Danish defender Emma Skou Færge before Girelli restored Juventus’ lead 10 minutes later from the penalty spot to secure maximum points.
Former Paris Saint-Germain defender Marina Georgieva was sent off on 76 minutes after receiving a second yellow card for a foul on Girelli which resulted in Juventus’ penalty goal.
Juventus remain second on the Serie A standings on goal difference with 15 points from five wins in five contests whilst Fiorentina are third on 10 points from three wins and a draw from the same number of encounters.

Goals from Flaminia Simonetti and Michela Cambiaghi were enough for Inter to dispatch Serie A returnees Napoli 2-0 at home on Saturday afternoon.
Simonetti put the hosts in the lead with a strike on the half hour mark and the teams would retreat for the break.
Cambiaghi put the match to bed with a strike just a minute into the second half, assisted by left-back Beatrice Merlo as Inter secured their third win of the season.

A Kosovare Asllani brace and goals from Andrea Stašková and Christy Grimshaw saw AC Milan thrash A.S.D Pomigliano 4-1 at home on Sunday afternoon.
Asllani opened the scoring for Milan as early as the second minute of the first half with an assist from midfielder Marta Mascarello before Stašková doubled the lead with a strike on 29 minutes, assisted by Grimshaw and the teams would go for half-time.
Guatemalan forward Ana Lucía Martínez pulled one back for the visitors 20 minutes from time, assisted by Argentine midfielder Dalila Ippólito before Asllani returned to complete her brace with a 79th minute strike to make it 3-1, assisted by former FC Fleury 91 defender Julie Piga.
Grimshaw put the match beyond the visitors from the penalty spot in the third minute of second half extra-time as the Rossonere recorded their second win of the term.
