Battle for champions league football next season climaxes as Turbine Potsdam travel to Hoffenheim on Saturday.

The visitors, who are third on the standings, have enjoyed a rich vein of form, recording four wins in their last five matches and will be looking to build on their 2-0 win over FC Köln before the break whilst the hosts have kept the pressure despite recording just two wins in their last five matches and will be looking to build on their 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen before the break.

Potsdam have registered 40 points from 12 wins and four draws in 19 encounters whilst Hoffenheim are just three points less and have recorded 11 wins, four draws and four losses.

The visitors will put their hopes in forward Selina Cerci who has found the back of the net 13 times this season and is joint-top scorer with Bayern Munich’s Lea Schuller in the current Frauen-Bundesliga campaign whilst the hosts will be banking on the services of forward Nicole Billa who is third-top scorer in the current Frauen-Bundesliga campaign with 12 goals.

Elsewhere, Wolfsburg’s clash with SGS Essen has been postponed to May 4th due to the former’s UEFA Women’s Champions League match against Barcelona on Friday evening.

Defending champions Bayern Munich shall be looking to bounce back from a humiliating 6-0 demolition by Wolfsburg when they travel to bottom place Carl Zeiss Jena on Friday evening.

Despite the heavy loss to the log leaders before the break, the Bavarians have had a rich vein of form, winning four of their last five matches and will be looking for their 16th win of the season against Carl Zeiss Jena, who will be looking to bounce back from a 4-0 defeat to Frankfurt before the break.

Bayern have recorded 46 points from 15 wins and one draw in 19 outings whilst Carl Zeiss Jena have recorded a paltry five points from one win and two draws in the same number of contests.

Bayern will be hoping that forward Lea Schuller will produce her magic in front of goal. The 24-year-old German international has bagged 13 goals for the Bavarians and is joint-top scorer in the current Frauen-Bundesliga campaign.

Eintracht Frankfurt shall be looking to mount a late challenge for top three when they host Bayer Leverkusen in a tricky clash on Sunday.

The hosts are buoyant after a 4-0 win over Carl Zeiss Jena before the break whilst Bayer will be looking to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat away to Hoffenheim before the break.

Frankfurt, who are on fifth place, are tied on 37 points with fourth place Hoffenheim and relish the prospects of going level with third place Potsdam who are just three points away with a win on Sunday. They have recorded 12 wins, one draw and six losses whilst seventh place Bayer have registered 22 points from six wins and four draws in 19 matches.

The hosts will be banking on forwards Laura Freigang and Lara Prasnikar, who have 10 goals apiece, to fire them to their 13th victory of the season whilst the visitors will be banking the services of Bosnian striker Milena Nikolić who is club top scorer with seven goals.

Bayer will be without Hungarian defender Lilla Turányi who was shown a red card after receiving a second yellow during their 3-0 defeat to Hoffenheim before the break.

SC Sand shall be looking to escape relegation with a win over Freiburg away on Sunday.

The relegation-haunted side, which has recorded two wins the whole campaign, can still survive the guillotine provided they win at least two matches and the team above them loses the rest of theirs.

Freiburg are sixth on the standings and have recorded 25 points from seven wins and four draws in 19 matches whilst Sand are 11thand have registered just nine points from two wins and three draws in the same number of outings.

Sand defence will have to be on the watch out for Freiburg super striker Hasret Kayikçi who is club top scorer with nine goals.

Werder Bremen shall be looking to steer clear of relegation with a win over FC Köln away on Sunday.

The visitors will be looking to bounce back from a nil-all draw with Freiburg before the break whilst the hosts will be looking to rebound from a 2-0 defeat to Potsdam before the break.

Werder Bremen are two places above relegation and have recorded 17 points from four wins and five draws in 19 encounters whilst Köln are eighth with 20 points from five wins and five draws in the same number of matches.
